This project was a design build renovation competition in which the team placed second. Situated atop a 150-foot bluff, this 5 star hotel is oriented to the Pacific Ocean and architecturally frames interior courtyards and swimming pools. The competition charged designers to bring a modern design framework to the existing exterior courtyard spaces, reorganize circulation, and redesign the pool areas to fit an increasing hotel program.
