Master planning and environmental assessment services for a 43,000 acre island off the eastern coast of Baja California Sur Mexico. The master plan preserved 98% of the island’s original pristine character and skillfully crafted 2% of development. Within that 2% would serve a marina village that would not only host a marina, yacht club, three 5-star hotels, but also a village core with character reminiscent of a quaint, self-sustaining Mediterranean village. The main driving force behind this Village is the people. It is intended to be an economic stimulus for the local population, creating many different job opportunities and offering new housing facilities for service workers on the island. In addition to the village core, the master plan called for a series of multi-use trails leading to remote pristine sanctuaries of the island. Lastly, there will be 400 private home sites delicately set within the island with over 42,000 acres of untouched ecological preserve in its backyard.
